9-16-2024 thru 2-28-2024 Week 1 EXAM. Handlers Jessi, Trina, Mary, Roxanne, & Kat. Some Week 2 material also!

Jessi/Lena

Such a little ham!!! Love this picture!!!

 Lena loves Radek !! This took 3 takes because she wanted to be near him. She is a smart cookie. Takes only small corrections to help her understand. We also went into week 2 material. She is a little hesitant around her behind so made sure to go slow and soft. Will upload that video as well once I figure the way YouTube is working.

Trina/Lena

 As good as she has done this week I thought this exam would be a breeze. So I had to use Suzanne as a distraction today which was extremely difficult for Lena. We did a few minutes of Longe line to get her focused and remembering what we were doing. Then we did take 1 which was a total fail. 😊 She not only wanted Suzanne but couldn’t imagine why she had another dog. It took quite a few tries but I’m hopeful it will be a pass. We then did cool down which she did well. I figured she would she was tired. By then people were flocking to the park for soccer games so lots of distractions and noise. We had a successful quiet time.

=================================================================== Mary/Lena

 Lena is such a smart dog! She learns so quickly.

Mike and I met Roxanne and me this afternoon to work Lena. She passed her Week 1 Exam!

Then Roxanne walked Lena through a tunnel of creepy skeletons

And through automatic doors

Lena was quite the attraction at Home Depot today. She’s so darn cute!

And here's Lena!

Lena is totally focused on me!

Mary then did her Week 1 EXAM with Lena, and it was a total success!

Then, I had Mary work Lena, in Slo Mo, on the Week 2 material.

 My turn with Lena, in SloMo, on Week 2 material was next. .

Week 2 in normal speed

 Then, multiple photo shoots-:)

There was this awful, noisy moving toy in the Holloween section, so yup, indeed, I used it to work Lena against. I want her to trust me no matter what the situation or environment, so this was a great opportunity to work her through her apprehension about 'THAT THING##@!!'  and all those wonderful people wandering about too!

"But WHAT is it?"

And we just kept on heeling Lena until she could ignore that creepy thing!

All in all, Lena did exceptionally well!

========================================================================= Kat/Lena

 Here is our quick exam from this morning! Lena loved my boys and the big dog, so they were a great distraction for her! The traffic didn’t hold any interest for her at all! ❤️

  1. Suzanne,

    There is a world of wonderful photos and videos from Lena's Week 1 EXAMS. Enjoy all that she has learned in just two very short weeks of training!
