9-17-2024 Lesson 1, Day 3, afternoon training in Monroe. Kat/Lena

 Sweet Lena and I were able to work against kids today! They sure wanted to love on her and I could tell she wanted to say ‘Hi!’ to them, and that made them the perfect distractions. ❤️

Forgive my camera work. I have a hard to gauging where I need to stay between… and it’s trickier when my phone is suspended from a tripod that falls into the neighboring bush… but we worked with it. 😄

After Lena started looking tired we did a ‘cool-down,’ got some water, and headed away from the cute kids for a little quiet time while we waited for Suzanne. This was made trickier by the wind and the fact we were so close to home. 

For a little while Lena sat or stood and looked toward home. I was thinking she might not settle before Suzanne came!

Finally settled, and then she started nosing around and grazing on the grass. 😆 So we repositioned the mat.  

Settled in spite of the wind. We folded the mat under so that edge would not blow over onto the pup. ☺️

I’m looking forward to tomorrow afternoon! ❤️
