A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s) and their dog. Let the journey begin.
Monika & Sparks (Monika is an accomplished graduate student so LL is easy for her)
Roxanne and Moxie (An aggressive 7-year old English Springer Spaniel I trained for a student)
Days 1& 2 of LL.
Moxie is beginning to understand wisdom of staying close to me
So tired, Moxie is standing still. Amazing.
Of course, standing on the LL helps!
Oh my, look at her eyes. See the mental fatique?
She is falling asleep standing up.
I love LL work done well. It is the beginning of a dog learning the wisdom of staying close to the owner or in my case, the handler. It teaches the dog the importance of choosing to pay attention to whomever is on the other end of the line. Great education. Very, very tiring as it is a mental workout more than anything else. The dog has to think and to take responsibility for its position, all without a word or being dragged or anything. The dog has to learn to watch the person or pay the consequences. Very, very tiring. Like I always say, a tired dog is a relaxed dog and a relaxed dog usually has very happy owners.
More smaller dogs LL examples. So much history in these videos!
